New Delhi: CBI has conducted searches at 26 locations across 11 states/Union Territories in connection with four criminal cases pertaining to alleged misappropriation of funds of Border Roads Organisation (BRO), the agency said in a release.The states and UTs covered in the search operation were J&K, Ladakh, Delhi, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.These cases relate to alleged irregularities in the deployment of casual labourers and payments released in the name of fake casual labourers in projects Vijayak and Yojak in Ladakh.
Misappropriation of BRO Funds: CBI searches 26 sites in 11 states/UTs
The CBI conducted searches at twenty-six locations across eleven states and Union Territories. These searches are connected to four criminal cases involving alleged misappropriation of Border Roads Organisation funds. The investigations focus on irregularities in casual labour deployment and payments for fake labourers. These alleged irregularities occurred in projects Vijayak and Yojak in Ladakh.
