She is believed to have died between five and seven days before her body was found by a homeless man in the Kypseli area. Ms Ross, who had been in Greece for approximately two weeks, was identified through Interpol fingerprint data after initial difficulties due to a lack of identification. Messages were reportedly sent from her mobile phone after her death, seemingly to mislead authorities and friends investigating her disappearance. Greek police are conducting a full investigation into the circumstances of her death, with Scottish authorities providing support to her family.
