‘My Head Was Stitched 11 Times’: Delta Gov Oborevwori’s Aide Demands Justice, Says Scores Of Attackers Brutalised Him At APC Meeting

Temple alleged that despite choosing not to retaliate, he was targeted again during Sunday’s APC stakeholders’ meeting.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Protocol, Mr. Simon Mudi, popularly known as Temple, has broken his silence over the violent attack that left him hospitalised during a Delta Central All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting, alleging that more than 70 men were mobilised to attack him.

Speaking exclusively with SaharaReporters, Temple claimed the assault at the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) Conference Centre in the Uvwie Local Government Area was not an isolated incident but the culmination of an earlier attack against him that allegedly went unaddressed.

According to him, he was first attacked on June 26 during the burial of a deceased acquaintance in Okwagbe, where he said more than 24 youths assaulted him in the presence of several witnesses, including Governor Oborevwori.

“I was just on my own on the day we were doing the APC meeting at the conference centre. But before then, he attacked me on the 26th of last month during our late brother’s burial in Okwagbe with over 24 boys,” Temple told SaharaReporters.
