The party alleged that poor maintenance and lack of investment have left internationally recognised tourist destinations in a state of disrepair.

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign Council has accused Governor Ademola Adeleke's administration of neglecting key tourism assets in the state.

The party alleged that poor maintenance and lack of investment have left internationally recognised tourist destinations in a state of disrepair.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by Adebayo Adedeji, Secretary of the Media and Publicity Committee and Team Leader of the Digital Media Committee of the Osun APC Governorship Campaign Council, the opposition party expressed concern over the condition of infrastructure leading to major tourist attractions, particularly as the state prepares to host the grand finale of the annual Osun-Osogbo Festival.

The APC campaign council alleged that the road leading to the Osun-Osogbo Sacred Grove, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, had been left in a deplorable condition, arguing that the situation presents an unflattering image to local and international visitors expected for the festival.
