The Osun State Government has accused the Nigeria Police Force of launching a series of coordinated raids on the homes of top government officials, alleging that officers invaded residences without search warrants, arrested residents and targeted senior members of the administration.
The government said the latest incident involved the residence of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, which it claimed was stormed by a combined team of police officers led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, the government alleged that family members of the SSG were arrested and taken to undisclosed locations during the operation.
