Former Durban City head coach Pitso Dladla says his remarkable Nedbank Cup triumph last season has realigned his outlook as he takes the reins at Lamontville Golden Arrows, citing belief and meticulous planning as the cornerstone of his ambitions.
Dladla was appointed to lead Abafana Bes'thende ahead of the new campaign following the departure of Manqoba Mngqithi, who parted ways with the KwaZulu-Natal outfit to take up a new role with Tanzanian giants Young Africans.
It caps an extraordinary rise for Dladla, who was thrown into the deep end last term when he replaced Gavin Hunt at newly promoted Durban City. In a whirlwind spell, Dladla steered City to a fairytale Nedbank Cup victory alongside a top-eight league finish.
Now handed the mantle at an institution of KZN football, Dladla recognises that guiding Arrows to silverware could redefine his managerial career.
