Two young girls were among the dead after Russian ballistic missile strikes hit Kyiv and the Kryvyi Rih region
Russia launched a wave of ballistic missile strikes across Ukraine early on Thursday morning, killing at least seven people, including two young girls, hours after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned Moscow was preparing another large-scale attack.
In a village on the outskirts of Kryvyi Rih, an Iskander-M ballistic missile struck a private home, killing six people, including girls aged five and 12, according to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city’s military administration. Eight others were wounded, and Vilkul warned the death toll could rise.
In Kyiv, at least one person was killed as Russian ballistic missiles struck the capital, triggering fires in several districts, according to city authorities.
Air raid sirens sounded across the city before multiple explosions were heard.
