Samsung Electronics and Globacom are stepping up efforts to capture Nigeria’s fast-growing premium smartphone market with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold8.

The partnership, unveiled at a masterclass hosted at Gloworld in Opebi, Lagos, reflects the changing dynamics of Nigeria’s smartphone market, where manufacturers and telecom operators are increasingly competing for high-value customers who consume more data, adopt new technologies faster and are willing to pay for premium digital experiences. Both companies are bundling AI-powered hardware with connectivity, after-sales support and financing options to strengthen customer loyalty.
