Cabinet has approved the appointment of three chief executive officers to lead key government organisations, with each appointed for a three-year term.

Tamaletā Taimang Jensen has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of the Development Bank of Samoa (DBS), succeeding Muā’autau Raiē Silipa.

According to the Government Press Secretariat, Tamaletā brings extensive leadership and governance experience to the role, having previously served as chairman of the Development Bank of Samoa Board of Directors and chairman of the Government’s Fono Fa’avae Project.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Studies and a Master of Business Studies from Massey University in New Zealand.

Cabinet has also appointed Tau’ili’ili Vaelua Sonny Brown as Chief Executive Officer of the Samoa Shipping Corporation (SSC), replacing Leiātaua Samuel Phineas.
