New Delhi: Dettol and Lizol maker Reckitt said on Wednesday that its India business grew in high single digit in the April-June quarter, led by germ protection, intimate wellness and household care. Like-for-like sales in emerging markets increased 9.4%, the company said, without disclosing India-specific numbers. Emerging markets account for 44% of Reckitt's core revenue.The British firm said second-quarter sales were fuelled by strong demand from emerging markets, particularly India and China. Kris Licht, global chief at Reckitt, said: "India continues to perform very strongly, with consistent growth across each of our categories." He added that penetration is being delivered through execution in markets like India and China via different consumer engagement strategies.
