The N2 Edge Safety Project, also known as the “N2 Wall Project” is expected to prevent smash-and-grab incidents, according to the City.
As the City of Cape Town progresses with its R114 million N2 Edge Safety Project, also known as the "N2 wall" project, residents, crime activists, and political parties have expressed mixed reactions.
Mayco member for Urban Mobility, Rob Quintas, said the project was still in its planning phase.
"The project remains in the early planning phase, and a number of technical, statutory, and governance processes are still underway,” Quintas said.
“As these processes progress, the City will engage relevant stakeholders and provide further information at the appropriate stages of the project.”
