Piraeus Bank reported on Wednesday record profits of €617 million for the first half of the year, corresponding to a 16% return on tangible equity, compared with its target of approximately 15% for 2026.

Net profit reached €336 million in the second quarter, up 22% year-on-year.

Loans came to €39 billion, with €1.8 billion net credit expansion in the first six months, supported by all business lending segments, while shareholder return came to €0.47 earnings per share (EPS), on track to meet the €0.90 full-year EPS target.
