HYDERABADThe Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TGSLPRB), on Wednesday, launched one of the State’s biggest recruitment drives in recent years, issuing notifications to fill 7,437 vacancies across the Police, Special Protection Force (SPF), Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency and Civil Defence, and Prisons and Correctional Services departments.The Police Department accounts for the largest share of the vacancies with 5,000 posts, including 148 Sub Inspectors (Civil), 14 Reserve Sub Inspectors (AR), 12 Reserve Sub Inspectors (TGSP), three Reserve Sub Inspectors (SARCPL), 23 Assistant Sub Inspectors in the Fingerprint Bureau, 3,697 Police Constables (Civil), 1,052 Police Constables (AR), 24 Police Constables (SARCPL), 20 Police Constables (Driver) and seven Police Constables (Mechanic).The Special Protection Force will recruit 44 Sub Inspectors and 1,380 Constables, while the Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency and Civil Defence Department has notified 39 Station Fire Officer posts and 751 Fire Fighter vacancies. The Prisons and Correctional Services Department will fill 223 posts, comprising 14 Deputy Jailors (Men), one Deputy Jailor (Women), 196 Warders (Male) and 12 Warders (Female).The Board said the schedule for submission of online applications would be announced separately through a press release. Candidates have been advised to ensure they meet the prescribed physical and medical standards by undergoing an examination with a Civil Surgeon before applying.Applicants have also been asked to keep ready the necessary certificates, including those related to Scheduled Caste sub-classification, Economically Weaker Sections, non-creamy layer status, local candidature and other applicable special categories, for uploading during the recruitment process.
