Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has launched an Artificial Intelligence (AI)- and robotics-led water management pilot project in the city’s South Zone for the next one-and-a-half years.“The project will deploy AI and robotic systems to monitor water supply infrastructure in the city. It will help detect water leakages and defects in pipelines using robotics and send real-time alerts to officials. The project aims to reduce non-revenue water and improve efficiency,” said BWSSB Chairperson Manjula N.The project will be implemented by SmartTerra, Solinas, Villgro Innovations Foundation and Titan Company Ltd.’s Design Impact Award Programme.
