CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — For families in flood-prone Barangay Kabasalan in Ligawasan town, in the Special Geographic Area-BARMM, the most urgent threat isn’t just the rising floodwaters — it’s the water they are forced to drink.
Persistent heavy rains the past weeks have triggered widespread flooding across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), contaminating deep wells and traditional water sources.
In a critical intervention, Safe Water for Every Child-Philippines (SWFEC-Ph), based in this city, successfully deployed a Multi-Station Water Ultrafiltration System to the area today, July 29, providing immediate, lifesaving relief.
