MANILA, Philippines — Manila Water Company recently led water relief operations in the municipalities of Malapatan and Glan in Sarangani, following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that shook the Soccsksargen Region.
The firm conducted its relief operation through its social development arm, Manila Water Foundation (MWF), and the Non-East Zone operating unit, Manila Water Philippine Ventures-Cebu (MWPV-Cebu), in coordination with Manny Pacquiao Holdings and the Sarangani Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
The initiative forms part of the AGAPAY: WASH in Emergencies Program of MWF, a program that delivers rapid water access, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) interventions in disaster-stricken areas.
