Russia continues mass production of “Banderol” loitering munitions thanks to the availability of foreign components, including parts manufactured in 2025–2026.
This was reported by Vladyslav Vlasiuk, the President’s Representative on Sanctions Policy, during a conversation with journalists, according to Ukrinform.
“Most of the strikes on port infrastructure in Odesa were carried out using ‘Banderol.’ The standard warhead weighs 150 kg. If foreign components weren’t available, I don’t think they would be able to produce them. Foreign components are available, which is why we are seeing new ‘Banderol’ missiles from 2026 that contain foreign components manufactured in 2025–2026,” Vlasiuk noted.
He emphasized that in June and July, the Russians carried out 16 strikes on Odesa’s food infrastructure, 80% of which were with “Banderol” missiles. According to him, the Russians used this specific type of weapon to attack infrastructure related to food exports, particularly vegetable oil, grain, and other commodities.
