Russian forces launched a series of strikes across southern and central Ukraine on Friday, July 17, targeting port facilities, humanitarian infrastructure, and civilian transport. Odesa port strike On Friday evening, Russian forces executed a missile strike on port infrastructure in the Odesa region. The strike damaged the ship’s superstructure and ignited a fire. The 17-member crew was evacuated from the vessel. Four crew members sustained injuries and received medical assistance on site without requiring hospitalization. Marhanets bus attack In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian forces struck a bus belonging to an agricultural company with an FPV drone in the city of Marhanets. Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Head Oleksandr Hanzha stated that the bus was transporting employees home from work at the time of the attack. A 48-year-old man was killed at the scene. Eight other individuals, including two women and six men, sustained injuries and were subsequently hospitalized.
