President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the outcomes of his visit to the United States and prospects for the peace process with French President Emmanuel Macron. He also offered Ukraine's assistance in combating the wildfires currently affecting France.
The Head of State announced the conversation on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
"On my way from Washington, I had a call with President Macron. I informed Emmanuel about the details of my meetings at the White House and in the U.S. Senate, as well as our current prospects in diplomacy. We need to seize every opportunity that can bring us closer to peace, and we coordinated our possible steps. I am grateful for President Macron’s readiness to help and to make every necessary effort," Zelensky said.
According to the President, Macron informed him about the large-scale wildfires in France.
"Ukraine is always ready to help those who have supported us throughout these years of our fight against Russian aggression. I offered France our assistance. Our specialists can join the firefighting efforts," the Ukrainian President stated.
