However, this new update will enable users to open WhatsApp Web via any compatible browser and make calls without downloading extra software.This feature allows users to make and receive voice or video calls either in one-on-one mode or in group mode. According to WhatsApp, this tool is intended for the use of people who work on shared computers or work devices where app installations cannot be made or for anyone else who prefers to have their chats inside the browser.To use the tool, users must log in through WhatsApp Web and connect the account with the help of QR code scanner on the mobile. Users can select any contact/group and click on the voice/video call button to have a chat.WhatsApp Web calling gets familiar featuresWhatsApp is bringing several of its existing calling features to the browser experience. Users can share their screens during calls, use emoji reactions and access a dedicated Calls tab. Call history and favourite contacts are also available through the web interface.The company says browser-based calls retain the same end-to-end encryption used for WhatsApp calls on supported mobile and desktop devices. WhatsApp also says calls do not have time limits and do not require users to pay an additional fee.
