Lesego Modutle opens up about Capetonians alleged lack of friendliness.
Cape Town has many things going for it. The mountain is still making waves, property prices are still making bank accounts question their life choices, and there seems to be a new matcha spot opening every other week.
But according to TV personality Lesego Modutle, there is one thing the Mother City seems to be missing: a simple “hello”.
The Kimberley-born personality recently took to Instagram with one very important question for Capetonians: Cape Town people, why aren’t we greeting one another?”
Modutle, who is originally from the Northern Cape, shared her experience of moving to Cape Town and realising that her friendly greetings were apparently being treated like unexpected pop quizzes.
