With the Democratic Socialists of America gaining ground in states across the nation, some state GOPs have a unique opportunity to flip historically blue districts. There’s just one problem: To defeat the socialists, Republicans are going to have to get a lot better at collective action.
Candidates backed by the DSA are gaining ground, largely by defeating establishment Democrats in heavily Democratic districts where the primary often determines who will ultimately hold office.
