Credit cards have long been synonymous with rewards, points, cashbacks, deals and the widely sough after – complimentary airport lounge access.

However, over the past few months, banks have significantly cut down on these rewards, especially the free lounge access benefit.

But what if we tell you there still are several credit cards that still offer this service? It is true securing the highly desired free airport lounge access feature on credit cards is becoming harder to get.

Banks are making it tough for users to avail the complimentary benefit by introducing minimum spend criteria or even removing the benefit altogether. For example, HDFC Bank earlier this year revised the lounge access rules for many of its cards, including the Tata Neu series and Regalia.

ICICI Bank too followed, by implementing a minimum Rs 35,000 spend criteria in the previous quarter to get complimentary lounge visits. However, many banks continue to offer complimentary access to their credit card users.
