The group argued that no faction or former officials could overturn Kanu's decision to remove Ejiofor from his role.
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has accused its former legal representative, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, of betraying its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, and sabotaging his case, insisting that his dismissal remains valid and irreversible.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, IPOB described as "worthless" a purported letter reaffirming Ejiofor's position as the group's lawyer, alleging that it was signed by individuals it said have already been expelled from the group.
The statement followed an ongoing dispute over Ejiofor’s sack by Kanu as his legal representative and that of IPOB.
According to IPOB, the letter allegedly reinstating Ejiofor was signed by Chika Edoziem, whom the group claimed had ceased to be a member of the group following his expulsion.
