A car exploded while driving through Odesa on Tuesday evening, killing the driver and injuring a female passenger in the second vehicle explosion reported in the city within 24 hours. Police have not yet announced a legal classification for the incident. Traffic was disrupted around the site while emergency and investigative teams worked in the area. According to sources cited by local outlet Dumskaya, the man killed in the explosion was a retired Interior Ministry veteran who had been out of service for more than 12 years. The outlet reported that he was not currently connected to Ukraine’s security services or Defense Forces and had been working in private transportation.
