​Jerusalem, Jul 28 (EFE).- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his meeting with United States President Donald Trump was “excellent.” “It was a conversation of full partnership, of mutual support, with an understanding of the shared goal to ensure that Iran will not have nuclear weapons, and also other goals,” Netanyahu said in Hebrew in a video released by his office following the closed-door meeting. ​The Israeli leader described the meeting as “one of the best conversations” he has had with Trump. ​As he explained, senior officials from both delegations also participated in the meeting, which allowed them to “exchange ideas” and “coordinate” on security issues and the future of the State of Israel. ​This marks the eighth meeting between the two leaders since Trump took office in January 2025, as Netanyahu had indicated before he arrived in Washington. ​After the meeting, Netanyahu said he was heading, along with his wife, Sara, to the funeral of Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who passed away on July 11. ​The Israeli prime minister traveled to the United States on Monday aboard the government’s official plane, “Wing of Zion,” which took off more than two hours late from Nevatim Air Base in Beersheba (southern Israel), rather than from Ben Gurion International Airport, as is customary.
