RIYADH: Saudi Arabia intercepted and destroyed a number of drones on Tuesday evening that attempted to target petroleum facilities in the Eastern Province, the defense ministry said. The official spokesman for the ministry Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Malki said the “terrorist” attacks originated once again from Iraqi territory and were carried out by Iran-backed terrorist militias. He affirmed the Kingdom’s inherent right to defend itself and its assets, as well as its right to respond at the appropriate time and place.
