Study: Statin use halves risk for PVR after retinal detachment surgery

Systemic statin use reduced the rate of proliferative vitreoretinopathy and reoperation following primary retinal detachment repair by nearly half, according to a speaker at the American Society of Retina Specialists annual meeting.
