BTQ Technologies has closed its acquisition of QPerfect SA, a French quantum computing firm, effective July 8, 2026. The deal, valued at approximately €18.59 million in total consideration, brings BTQ one meaningful step closer to building a full-stack quantum security business.
The price breaks down as €2.02 million in cash and shares, plus a potential earnout of up to €5.67 million tied to future performance milestones. BTQ had already signaled its intent with a €2 million initial investment back in November 2025.
What BTQ is actually buying
QPerfect, founded in 2023 and based at the European Center for Quantum Sciences in Strasbourg, France, specializes in software and control systems for neutral-atom quantum architectures.
QPerfect brings two core products into the BTQ portfolio. The first is MIMIQ, a quantum software emulation platform capable of stable simulations at 100 or more qubits. The second is QLU, a digital twin modeling and control system.
