City Union Bank (CUB) reported a 25% year on year (YoY) increase in net profit to ₹383 crore for the first quarter. During the same period last year, the bank’s net profit was ₹306 crore. The bank’s Interest income rose 24% YoY to ₹ 1,985 crore during the quarter, while interest expenses increased by 19% to ₹1,165 crore.As a result, net interest income (NII) grew 31% to ₹820 crore. Last year during the same period NII stood at ₹625 crore. Other income remained flat at ₹244 crore. CUB’s advances grew 25% YoY to ₹67,645 crore, while deposits increased 21% to ₹79,342 crore. As of June 30, 2026, the bank’s total business stood at ₹1.47 lakh crore, up 23% from a year ago. The retail, agriculture and MSME (RAM) portfolio, including non-agriculture gold loans, accounted for 80% of the bank’s total advances. Published - July 28, 2026 09:55 pm IST
