Apple has not yet officially entered the $5 trillion club. As of late July 2026, the company’s market capitalization was hovering between $4.95 trillion and $4.98 trillion, tantalizingly close but not quite there. Nvidia became the first publicly traded company in history to reach that valuation in October 2025.

To put $5 trillion in perspective, that’s roughly the entire GDP of Japan, the world’s fourth-largest economy.

The road to the milestone

On July 13, 2026, Apple stock hit record highs above $321 per share. Shares had recently been trading around $327.50, with analysts estimating the company needed roughly a 4% bump to approximately $340 per share to officially cross into $5 trillion territory.

Apple has been pouring resources into AI capabilities across its product lineup, with significant upgrades to Siri serving as the most visible manifestation of that investment. Analysts believe this AI-driven momentum could provide the necessary impetus for Apple to achieve the $5 trillion mark by late 2026.
