The police arrested a man on charges of assaulting and killing his wife, suspecting her of infidelity at Galagali in Bagalkot district on Tuesday.The accused, Praveen Jigalur, 26, also video called her parents, while beating up Bhagyashree, 23, and hanged her from the ceiling at their home, the police said.Bhagyashree left him as she was abused by her husband. She used to complain to her parents that he suspected her. She had lived with her parents in Mahalingpur for around two months. But a few days ago, the accused went to her parent’s house and promised to look after her. He pleaded to her to return.The police said she returned on Monday, and he abused her again.
