Afternoon highs should reach just 18C in Northern Ireland and 20C in Scotland - meaning the heatwave threshold will not be reached there.‌A band of heavy rain is also expected to move across northern parts of the UK. Weather forecasters say the rain showers could even turn thundery at times.Met Office forecaster Alex Burkill said: “As we head into tomorrow we do have more rain lingering over parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
