Colleagues of an Intelligence Security Wing (ISW) jawan who died in a road accident have raised ₹5.20 lakh to support his bereaved family.The financial assistance, voluntarily contributed by officers and staff of the department, was handed over to the family of Are Kiran by OSD V.B. Kamalasan Reddy during a programme held at the ISW office in Hyderabad on Tuesday.Describing Kiran’s untimely death as an irreparable loss to the department, Mr. Reddy assured the family that the police would continue to stand by them. He said steps would be taken to expedite the release of Kiran’s service benefits and accident insurance claims, besides facilitating a compassionate appointment for an eligible family member in accordance with government rules.Mr. Reddy also commended RI (Admin) Sridhar Reddy, Dinesh Reddy, K. Shravan Kumar, K. Suman and S. Sagar for coordinating the fundraising initiative, while appreciating all personnel who contributed towards the financial assistance.SP (Admin) G. Chakravarthy, Deployment SP Syed Basha, SP Srinivas, SP Ramchander Rao, along with Additional SPs and DSPs, attended the programme, conveyed their condolences to Kiran’s family and assured them of the department’s support.
