Frank Gehry-designed museum will be the largest in the Guggenheim network
Guggenheim Abu Dhabi will open to the public on 11 December, becoming the largest museum in the Guggenheim network.
The Frank Gehry-designed building spans 80,000 square metres, with 11,600 square metres of indoor gallery space on Saadiyat Island.
The collection, developed since 2009, focuses on modern and contemporary art from the 1960s to the present across multiple mediums.
Rather than a linear or geographic approach, the museum presents art through an Abu Dhabi lens, exploring cross-cultural connections.
