But New Brunswick politician Bill Oliver took that proofreading nightmare to a whole new level during a recent legislative session.
While addressing the assembly on matters regarding the office of the advocate, Oliver began with a standard political statement: "Public confidence in the office of an advocate matters."
Then came the kicker. Without missing a beat or batting an eye, Oliver delivered the very next sentence on his page: "Here's a more natural, flowing version of that section that reads like a legislative speech rather than a series of short points."
