Shares of the company tumbled 7% to Rs 49.57 on the BSE, following the earnings announcement.While net profit declined, the renewable energy player’s revenue from operations rose 22.5% YoY to Rs 3,819 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 3,117 crore in the year-ago period.Suzlon Energy’s total income increased over 22% YoY to Rs 3,862.5 crore, while total expenses rose more than 28% YoY to Rs 3,473 crore during the quarter which ended on June 30, 2026. Its EBITDA dropped slightly to Rs 595 crore in Q1 FY27, from Rs 599 crore in the same period last year, while EBITDA margin declined to 15.6% from 19.2%.The company reported its highest-ever Q1 deliveries at 506 mega watts, marking a 14% You increase, while commissioning surged 2.3x to 269 MW. Its cumulative order book stood at 6.1 GW, with 84% of the orders coming from PSU and C&I sectors.Along with the Q4 results, Suzlon Energy said that its board of directors during its meeting held today have considered and approved setting up of a wholly owned subsidiary in Singapore for the purposes of augmenting the international wind energy and OMS business.What Suzlon Energy’s management said“Suzlon is stronger than ever, and we’re leveraging this to invest in our future. During the quarter, we also deepened existing partnerships and formed new ones to accelerate our customers’ energy transition journey,” said Suzlon Group’s Vice Chairman Girish Tanti.Its CEO, Ajay Kapur, meanwhile, said that the company’s strong start to FY27 reflects disciplined execution across every aspect of its business. “With the successful launch of the first FDRE -ready S175 wind turbine and manufacturing now scaled at our Bhuj facility, we are well-prepared to meet future demand,” he added.EBITDA & PAT margins were in line with ongoing developments, given the temporary logistic disruptions arising from the geopolitical situation, certain strategic investments, and change of scope and segment mix, said the Group’s CFO Rahul Jain.Suzlon Energy share priceSuzlon Energy shares crashed 6% to trade at Rs 49.68 apiece on NSE after the release of the results. The stock has overall fallen around 13% in a month and 5% in 2026 so far.
