Wind energy player Suzlon Energy on Monday reported a 6% year-on-year (YoY) decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 1,114 crore in the fourth quarter, compared with Rs 1,182 crore in the last year's quarter. Revenue from operations, however, increased 45% YoY to Rs 5,468 crore.On a sequential basis, net profit soared 150% from Rs 445 crore posted in the preceding December quarter."In alignment with the structural shifts towards clean energy, we have significantly strengthened our financial position to prepare for the next phase of growth. Our flagship S144 platform has already achieved 9 GW of cumulative order intake and the WTG business has delivered 55% CAGR growth over the last three years," said Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman, Suzlon Group.EBITDA for the reporting March quarter increased 39% YoY to Rs 964 crore, while EBITDA margins declined to 17.6% from 18.4% a year ago.Profit before tax increased sharply to Rs 833 crore from Rs 551 crore in Q4FY25, registering growth of around 51%. Net finance cost rose to Rs 108 crore from Rs 49 crore a year earlier.Suzlon delivered 830 MW of wind turbine volumes during the quarter, compared with 573 MW in the corresponding quarter last year, which is a growth of nearly 45%. On a sequential basis, volumes also increased from 617 MW in Q3.For the full financial year FY26, Suzlon reported revenue from operations of Rs 16,679 crore, up 54% from Rs 10,851 crore in FY25. Annual EBITDA jumped 63% to Rs 3,022 crore compared with Rs 1,857 crore in the previous financial year.EBITDA margin improved to 18.1% from 17.1% a year earlier. Profit before tax for FY26 stood at Rs 2,422 crore, up 67.4% from Rs 1,447 crore in FY25.Net profit after tax increased to Rs 3,163 crore from Rs 2,072 crore in the previous financial year, showing a growth of around 53%.Annual wind turbine deliveries rose sharply to 2,456 MW compared with 1,550 MW in FY25.The company has been benefiting from rising renewable energy demand, stronger execution pipeline and increased ordering activity from commercial and industrial customers as well as utility-scale renewable developers."We are happy to deliver highest-ever India annual deliveries at 2.5 GW in FY26, reflecting strong execution across the business. Our healthy orderbook of 9 GW with 66% coming from PSU and C&I segment, we continue to see strong demand for wind energy solutions," said Ajay Kapur, CEO, Suzlon.
