BBC Breakfast viewers have admitted a years-long video still 'lives rent free in my head'.09:27, 28 Jul 2026An “outrageous” BBC Breakfast clip has resurfaced after fans slammed a presenter’s reaction.‌During a 2022 report, Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt had been hosting from the studio, when they spoke to business correspondent Hannah Miller.‌The reporter had been live from an ice cream factory in Nantwich, where she got to taste some fresh samples, insisting: “It’s definitely not too early.”‌“I bet you wish you were here now,” she added to the hosts.But Naga had a rather blunt response back. She said: “I don’t like ice cream, Hannah.”Stunned by the reply, Hannah said: “You don’t like ice cream?!”‌Naga continued: “If I had to eat an ice cream for the rest of my life, it would be pistachio flavour but I don’t like cold food.”She also said she doesn’t like brownies “so much” either, after home-made brownies were used as one of the ingredients in the factory.‌“I won’t be bringing brownies into the office then,” Hannah said, though Naga admitted: “Don’t let me deny the rest of the office.”As the camera returned to the studio, Charlie was left playfully chastising Naga.He told her: “I think you rather brought the tone down.”‌“Oh be quiet,” Naga hit back. “Come on,” she laughed, before issuing an apology.As Naga looked awkwardly to the side, Charlie commented: “Hannah is working hard, doing a story, and then…” before moving on to the headlines.‌One person shared the clip on Reddit recently, admitting it “lives rent free in my head”, as viewers reacted to Naga’s comments.They said: “Did anyone see this live? The segment/story about ice cream itself is innocuous, but Munchetty's response seems so cringe, and with Stayt's reaction it almost feels like an outtake/parody even in the world of breakfast television. The outrageousness is probably why this clip still lingers in my consciousness.”One person replied: “I think Stayt called it.
