On the morning of July 28, Russian authorities reported a large-scale drone attack on Moscow, prompting temporary restrictions at several of the city's airports.
According to Ukrinform, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated this on Telegram.
"Twelve UAVs heading toward Moscow were shot down by the Ministry of Defense's air defense systems. Emergency service specialists are working at the sites where debris fell," the post said.
He later reported that another 21 drones had also been intercepted.
At the same time, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) announced temporary restrictions and the suspension of operations at Moscow's Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky airports.
