British rapper Yung Filly said a fan he is accused of raping, assaulting and choking on his Australian tour never told him to stop, said you’re hurting me or pushed him away while they engaged in consensual sex.Yung Filly – whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, 30 – is on trial in the WA District Court after pleading not guilty to 10 offences over an alleged encounter at an Intercontinental Hotel room with a woman in September 2024.The woman, who cannot be named, alleged she thought she was going to an after-party with her idol and his entourage but ended up back at his hotel after they left the Bar1 Nightclub at Hillary’s Boat Harbour.She claimed they started to engage in consensual sexual activity, but it quickly escalated into violence, alleging the rapper bit, hit and strangled her inside the hotel room.The woman told the court she required a tetanus shot when she presented at a hospital emergency department suffering bruising, swelling, bite marks and wounds to her face, neck and breasts.The YouTube star, with more than 2.4 million followers on social media, told the court on Monday he fancied the bubbly young woman when they met at the nightclub.Mr Barrientos said he invited her back to the hotel but denied he put his hands down her pants or touched her breasts when they chatted for about 10 minutes in the VIP area.“Did you assume she was a fan she (who) was showing you all this attention (and) she would just want to have sex with you?” Prosecutor Danielle Clarke asked the performer.“No, I wold never assume that,” he replied.“I invited her to my (hotel), that invite was just an invite. Like I said, my intention was to have sex.”“But you didn’t tell her that?” the prosecutor pressed.“No,” Mr Barrientos said.He said he was not fussed if the woman came back to the hotel.The woman claimed the rapper’s bodyguard took her phone and refused to hand it back when they travelled to the hotel, with the rapper saying it was standard practice for privacy.Mr Barrientos said he enjoyed the sexual activity and the woman gave no indication of displeasure or discomfort.“She was enjoying it too,” he said.“She was kissing, she made sexual noises, grunting and moaning in a good way.”He told the court he gave the woman “love bites” and some were harder than others.Ms Clarke asked the rapper if he ever discussed the woman’s sexual boundaries with her.“No, it was consensual sex,” he replied.“Did you ask what her sexual limitations were?” she asked.“No, she didn’t ask me either,” Mr Barrientos said.Lawyers are expected to begin their closing statements on Tuesday.The trial continues.
