British rapper Yung Filly is expected to testify at a rape trial where he is accused of sexually assaulting a fan during his Australian tour almost two years ago.The performer – whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos – pleaded not guilty to 10 charges of sexual assault, assault and choking in the Perth District Court over an alleged encounter with a woman in September 2024.The 30-year-old with millions of social media followers faces the second week of a trial and is expected to take the stand after the prosecution finished its case against him last week.During the first week of the trial, a court was told how the Perth woman wore her lucky outfit hoping to meet her celebrity crush at Bar1 Nightclub in the city’s north.She took several videos from the venue that were played in court in which she proclaimed: “I am going to get married and have his baby”, “I got touched by Yung Filly in a good way”, and “I love Filly”.The woman told the court she met the YouTube star inside the VIP area where she alleged he put his hands down her pants and said, “You’re coming home with me tonight”, but she removed them and said to him, “I am not like that.”She claimed he touched her breast and she said, “You can’t do that”, and he responded, “Really shows your age.”The woman told the court she thought she was going to an after-party with the rapper and his entourage when she hopped into a van with them later in the evening.The woman claimed she realised there was no after-party when they arrived at the Intercontinental Hotel in Perth, where the alleged offences took place.The woman alleged they started engaging in consensual sexual activity inside a hotel room, but it quickly became non-consensual and violent when Yung Filly bit, slapped and raped her.The trial continues.Read related topics:Perth
