The Consulate General of Ukraine in Wrocław has called on Polish law enforcement authorities to respond promptly to another assault on Ukrainian citizens.
The appeal was published on the consulate's Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.
Ukrainian diplomats noted an increase in incidents of violence and aggression against Ukrainian nationals and stressed the need for thorough investigations and an independent legal assessment of every such case.
According to the statement, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has instructed the Consulate General to take urgent response measures. The mission has already submitted an official request to the competent authorities of the Polish National Police and is awaiting an official response.
If the reported circumstances are confirmed, the consulate expects a comprehensive, impartial, and swift investigation, the establishment of the motives behind the attack, and the prosecution of those responsible in accordance with Polish law.
