There are calls that Advocate Andrea Johnson, the former head of the Independent Directorate Against Corruption, be held accountable for her actions while in office.
There has been growing calls for the government to administer proper disciplinary action against Advocate Andrea Johnson, who bowed out as the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption's (IDAC) head, and ensure that she did not escape accountability with her merely quitting her job.
Civil society organisation Corruption Watch were outspoke about their disappointment that another of the country's anti-corruption institutions was beset by corruption and improper conduct of officials.
Therefore, the government must ensure that Johnson does not get off with “merely” a resignation.
The organisation said appropriate punitive measures should be applied regardless of her resignation.
