Olympic champion swimmer Adam Ramsay-Peaty has hit back at critics "who want to hurt me and my family with comments" after securing a "bittersweet" bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games. The 31-year-old, who married Holly Ramsay-Peaty, 26, last December and recently announced they are expecting their first child, publicly thanked his wife for her unwavering support.Ramsay-Peaty, who took home bronze in the 100-metre breaststroke on Saturday, shared several photos from the event on Instagram, including one of him and his wife sharing a kiss. He described his latest achievement as a "proud moment" and explained his continued dedication to the sport. "I still love standing on the blocks, hearing the roar of the crowd, fighting inch by inch in every stroke, putting myself on the line, and, because I’m not finished," he wrote. "To the people out there who want to hurt me and my family with comments, I have seen this story a thousand times with other athletes from many sports," he stated. As it’s said, be the change you want to see in the world, and, I want a better world for the next generation of athletes. The couple reportedly met through Holly’s sister Tilly when both participated in Strictly Come Dancing in 2021, announcing their engagement in 2024.
