Two new opinion polls have shown Labour benefiting from a clear ‘Burnham bounce’ following the ousting of Sir Keir Starmer from number 10.
In the week since Andy Burnham became Prime Minister Labour have overtaken Reform to lead a national poll for the first time in 16 months and to draw level with them in another.
It follows a raft of popular policy announcements from the new PM, and pollsters suggesting voters are willing to “give him a chance”.
