The CB-CID police on Monday questioned Sub-Registrar Justin Manikandan Subramanian, who has been placed under suspension, here in connection with the case of fraudulent registration of Palani math land. He is one of the accused in the case.Earlier on July 18, the CB-CID police conducted searches at the residence of the suspended Sub-Registrar in connection with the case.The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on July 17 had granted interim bail till August 4 to the Sub-Registrar. The court had granted the interim protection to Justin Manikandan with certain conditions.It had directed him to report before the CB-CID police at 10.30 a.m. every day from July 27 till August 3, except on Sunday, and cooperate in the investigation, while hearing the anticipatory bail petition filed by him.
