The reported feature would give ChatGPT users a dedicated section for discovering and researching physical locations, including restaurant recommendations, travel itineraries, and real-time weather, all surfaced through conversational AI rather than a traditional search engine or dedicated travel app.
OpenAI launched ChatGPT Work alongside the GPT-5.6 model series on July 9, 2026, a productivity-focused tool that automates tasks across applications and documents. ChatGPT Sites, which lets users create interactive web experiences directly inside the platform, entered public beta around the same period.
