Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces shot down a Russian Forpost-R strike and reconnaissance drone over Russia's Kursk region on July 27. The drone is capable of carrying guided munitions.
According to Ukrinform, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert "Magyar" Brovdi announced the interception on Facebook.
"The carrier of KAB-20 aerial bombs with laser guidance was detected and destroyed on July 27, 2026 by pilots of the 7th Topota Battalion of the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade 'Magyar's Birds' over the territory of Russia's Kursk region with the Ukrainian interceptor 'Chaklun-KM' at an altitude of 4,300 meters," Brovdi said.
The "Forpost-R" has a takeoff weight of 500 kg and a flight endurance of 18 hours at an altitude of up to 6,000 m.
