On the night of July 8, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) struck 53 military targets belonging to the Russian invaders in the temporarily occupied Crimea and the southern part of the temporarily seized Ukrainian territories.
According to Ukrinform, Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, announced this on Facebook.
“Crimea’s power switch is off: On July 8, a key point where electricity enters Crimea from Russia, five power substations, a training ground, and three radar stations were struck,” Brovdi noted.
As the USF commander explained, this refers to “the strike on July 8 against a key facility receiving electricity via the Kuban-Crimea power bridge, which serves as the entry point from the Russian mainland to the occupied peninsula. The power bridge is 14.5 km long and consists of four underwater cable lines. The damaged PP-2 “Crimea” transfer station receives these underwater cables and connects them to overhead power lines.”
According to Brovdi, between July 1 and 8, the USF struck 50 power facilities in Crimea and the southern part of the Ukrainian territories temporarily occupied by Russia.
